Browser extensions can reach a lot. We keep LockIn's footprint small on purpose: a single host permission, no third-party trackers, and storage that stays in your browser by default.
Minimal permissions
Only requests access to geoguessr.com pages. No "read all sites", no clipboard, no downloads.

Install on Chrome
via staging build (load unpacked)
- 1Download the staging build (.zip) below.
- 2Unzip it into a folder you keep — the browser loads the extension from that folder.
- 3Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click "Load unpacked" and pick the folder.
- 4Pin LockIn and sign in with your staging account.
This build talks to the staging API and is not from a store, so it does not auto-update. After a staging deploy, download it again, replace the files in the same folder and click reload on the extensions page. Removing the extension instead deletes its data, including your login.
- Open geoguessr.com — popup shows up automatically.
- Streaks and timers appear on first round.
- Save Location available from the radial menu.
